How to Saute Shrimp


Do you know how to sauté shrimp??

I myself just learned this last year. If you are wondering why, it is because I never ate shrimp  before my lifestyle change. I didn’t like it. I did not know what I was missing. I eat more shrimp today because I love it. I truly love it!

One of the easiest and most delicious ways I have found is to sauté it. For me, the shrimp has to be warm. I don’t like cold shrimp a whole lot. I can and will eat it, but this is my favorite way to eat shrimp.


Here is the simple directions…

How to Saute Shrimp


  • cooked shrimp- tail off, peeled and deveined
  • spices
  • pam cooking spray
  • water if necessary
  • lemon


  1. Turn your stove-top to medium-high.
  2. Spray your pan with Pam Cooking Spray.
  3. Add cooked shrimp. ** I like the medium sized shrimp. But large and small will work just fine as well.
  4. Season with spices.
  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently. ** If they start to stick to pan just add a tiny bit of water.**
  6. Serve with lemon.


My top 5 spices to add to the shrimp are:

  1. lemon pepper
  2. coriander
  3. dill weed
  4. garlic salt
  5. red pepper flakes

These spices really bring out the flavor of the shrimp to me.  After I sauté them I add a little bit of lemon juice.

You can eat them plain, add them to salad, cut them up and have tacos. etc. I love to just eat them plain with some veggies and or a salad.


I keep the bag in the refrigerator and it takes me a whole five minutes to have a delicious protein.

Okay… so for my 6 pictures today… I did some cleaning around my back patio. After Easter was over and the girls “decorated” the whole back patio with sidewalk chalk, which they seem to turn into a powder and get it all of them and everywhere, I knew it had to be cleaned up. I loved the water mixing with the chalk.


As I was spraying off all the chalk… my sidekick came out to play in the water.


I love this picture… because it teaches us that whatever we touch we influence. It causes a “wave”. We can and must use our influence for good. And.. the most important influence I have is as a mother. I can teach and train and love. I hope with all my heart, that I can influence my children.

Yesterday I had an eye appointment. I knew from the last two eye appointments ( I was looking into lasik surgery) that I would have to get either glasses or contacts. My left eye has bad vision. Just my left eye. They both said that I was a good candidate, but having never worn glasses or contacts that I would start that route. My right eye is still 20/20 vision. The left eye would just need it, and then it would only correct the distance, making it clear and crisp. However, because of my age I would still be needing reading glasses very soon..within the next 5 years! I am getting and feeling so old!

I decided to go with contacts… and then get the reading glasses in the future. I got one contact for my left eye. I just can’t believe that I am almost 40 and just needing them. This is a blessing I know, but it is still hard to adjust too.

Maybe… I should just have got a patch for my left eye and become a pirate.

I decided to go with the contact… so that I could use both eyes to see and experience life in a crisper and clearer way!


I also realized that I take my photos through the viewfinder of my camera with my left eye. I guess I need to see to take my photos! It is day two and the contact and me are getting along just fine. It was a little hard to get in this morning… but it is in and I can see! It will take about a full week to adjust to it.

I know that I have had many friends that don’t use shrimp a whole lot because they don’t know how to cook it or sauté it. But… it is really quite simple. Don’t be afraid. Don’t go missing something so wonderful!
